Butterflies; real tropical framed butterflies.

The butterflies are raised on our farms in the Amazon rain-forest in Peru, South America. These are large netted areas which allows the butterflies to be raised in their natural environment of rainfall and sunshine with safety as they have an unlimited food source as well as no predators.

Our butterflies are never harmed and never killed.

Once the butterflies die naturally we collect them and begin the preserving process. We start by injecting them with a preservative. We then take tweezers and break the butterfly into 14 pieces and glue it back together. This makes the piece more sturdy, keeping the butterfly wings from dropping over time. The lifespan of our framed butterflies are 80 to 100 years.

Our butterflies are between two pieces of glass so that you can see both sides of the butterfly (They often change color on the underside).

Our frames are made from Brazilian Cedar wood and our glass is high quality Colombian Glass.

On the bottom of the frame you can find the name of the butterfly you have purchased.
